Duchess Bakes A Cake

I first read this as part of a children's magazine - when I was a kid. I probably was a bit older than the target audience but I fell in love with both the writing and the illustrations. I am buying this for my 4 year old grandson instead. Her charming tale begs to be read aloud and shared with laughs and hugs. Whether you are drawn to the theme of baking, family, or the importance of following directions (!) this is one to read again and again.

Concrete philosophy! It is not a book about vacations, but about why we travel and the baggage we carry inside our heads. A lovely, friendly, thought-provoking companion whether we are on the road or not.
