Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook
by
Bourdain, Anthony

This is book is bloody brilliant!! In a time where media food stars seem to paste on a plastic grin, Bourdain's writing style is frank and refreshing. A must read if you consider yourself a foodie, or are at all interested in Bourdain.

My Mistresss Sparrow Is Dead Great Love Stories from Chekhov to Munro

Definitly not what i was expecting, but still a good read. I was expecting stories on romantic love, but it is more a collection of stories on real love; as well as different types of love: love of a family, a first love, unhappy marriages, etc. It has a lot of depth and it was fun to read.

Soul Revolution How Imperfect People Become All God Intended
by
John Burke

Immensely enjoying it so far. Burke recounts his own as well as other people's stories with God and gives you tips in staying in a constant "coversation" with God. Really refreshing to read a book that gives you such a simple way to God, without the judgments or the "holier-than-thou" attitude that can come from other sources.

Raw Shark Texts
by
Steven Hall

Absolutely loved this book! My first book of this type and i enjoyed it. Hall uses type to create a feeling and/or set a mood. Type gets big, gets small, gets put at different parts of the page, so interesting. Hall also completly challenges you with his reality, and his ambiguous ending; i was left there asking my self what i had just experienced and had it really happened the way i thought it did. Quite marvelous.

Remarkably entertaining and inspiring!! Found myself laughing out loud at parts, while being awed by what she's accomplished. Truely outstanding!!

My Goat Ate Its Own Legs: Tales for Adults
by

This book is absurd and yet delightful in it's absurdness. It has become my new favorite. Each story takes you to a different reality, and leaves you thinking and interpreting the words you've just read. Each story goes to its own extremes but still seems grounded. Absolutely Amazing!
