Pirate King Forgotten Realms Transitions 02

R A Salvatore

This is a good book. However, R. A. Salvitore is milking these characters for all that it is worth. Don't get me wrong, Salvitores Ice Wind Dale trilogy was the series that got me hooked on fantasy books. But After reading the "Transitions" trilogy in which this book is in. I am done with Salvitore. He doesn't really build his characters. It is all action and Salvitore doesn't create time lines that puts the story in perspective. It is just action, then leaves you hanging for another book. Then the other book comes out and it is irrelevent to the previous book. If you want to read R.A. Salvitore, read the dark elf trilogy and Ice wind dale trilogy but leave it at that.

A Feast For Crows: Song of Ice and Fire 4

This is my second most favorite series to read. George R. R. Martin does a fantastic job at building characters. He does a great job of playing politics, back stabbing and overall adventure in this series. This book has it all. I can't put these books down. In two months I have read all four of them. For me, that is fast. These series kind of takes you by surprise because he constantly introduces new characters were other fantasy books keep to the same characters through the entire series. I highly recommend this series to all readers.

Faith of the Fallen
by
Terry Goodkind

I love this series. This book along with all his other books in the sword of truth series are excellent. I have read a lot of fantasy books from George RR Martin, David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Tracey Hickman, etc. But Terry Goodkind is by far the best. He builds his characters to a point were they come to life as you read. Richard, Khalin and Cara are the most interesting characters I have ever read about. Terry Goodkind also creates characters such as Sister Nicci that you start off hating and end up loving later. I highly recommend Terry Goodkinds "Sword of Truth" series. I suggest not letting younger kids read this series because Terry Goodkind does have a tendancy to get a little graphic through out the series.
