I knew nothing about it or the author prior to purchasing it. It was purely out of curiosity and being familiar with the title. Even though it is a children's book and at the time I was 19 years old, I do not at all regret buy this book. Despite it's illustrations and simple text being intended for children, it is incredibly profound and is relatable among young and old. What is important in someones life and how they view their world is told by a child. He and so many other characters he encounters and interacts with carry wisdom that is so relevant to growing up and our world. It made me re-examine what I hold near and dear to my heart and what do I live for. Ultimately, what is beautiful about this book is that during certain stages and ages of a readers life, they will take something different away each time they read this book. It may start off simplistic at first, but as time goes by, they will find that the story and meaning is so much deeper and powerful than they realized when they first read it. To conclude, Antoine put so much care, love, and truth into this simple little book. You so easily get lost in the world he creates and you never want to put the book down.

Absolutely beautiful, breathtaking, and insightful. It is true that a picture is worth a thousand words.
