Every page has something going on. Thou for me sometimes keeping up with the names was a problem. The story of a detention center for young boys. The hard life they had there working on a horse ranch. They were constantly beaten and hit , just hard to believe those poor boys could endure so much pain and misery and still be alive. The thoughts in their minds that they could escape to at night time while going to sleep. Each one of their stories about how they ended up there. And the end of it all - well you will just want to read it to the end to find out what happens to everyone in this story

A fan of genealogy this book helps with learning that genealogy is not just family names and dates. We need to explore the way they traveled in the world coming from one place to the next. Maps with older town names and such can help show us the way our ancestors come from. Helps with learning more about our fore fathers lives in other countries to. Great book to have for all of us interested in our family history.

This is a story told by a young boy about how his life was with his family. Abuse of his mother caused him to harm his father and how he is sent away to a harsh working facility for 2 years all for protecting his mother. Exciting and interesting things happen on day to day basis of his experiences in life from it all

Told by a child and how he survived in life. It was interesting to hear about all the things he had to deal with alone as a child in different countries. And to find out why he was on his own all those years

I really liked this book. The best one I read all year. It is interesting and keeps your attention through out the whole book. I didnt want to put it down. With finding your real birth parents you never know who they might be. Good or bad once you search for them and find them the truth is out. This is one persons story and the outcome isnt a good one - sorry if I spoil it for you

A story based in Mississippi back in the early 1960's in the civil rights movement times. Humorous and funny, never a dual moment through out the whole book. This book is very thought provoking and interesting.
