Could you describe your latest book,
One Hundred Percent Me
?
A little girl is used to hearing questions about her looks all the time. "Where are you from?" "What are you?" These questions are a constant reminder from others that she is different. As she embraces her identity and culture, she teaches others that she belongs, that the differences they notice are part of what make her unique, special, and herself....

You Have Time For This

"You Have Time For This" the book said--and I did! Between the constant crush of tasks, life hasn't left me with much time for reading. But this little book gave me stories that only took up a page or two of space and a moment to read and digest. Not only that, they lingered! I've found myself flipping back through this book, returning to my favorites. If there was a good way to describe these stories, it would be by comparing them to haiku: they're short, sweet, and to the point while still feeling like they're filled with meaning and heft. So much is said in so little. A great book for a person on the go.

Alive at the Center Contemporary Poems from the Pacific Northwest

Alive at the Center was a delicious little collection of poetry from the people of the Vancouver BC, Seattle, and Portland. Having lived and stayed in many of these places during my lifetime, I found the collection not only represent the geography and mindset of the people from the North West, but made me feel at home. If you're from the North West and looking for a piece of home to carry around in your pocket, I would recommend this book.
