Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
by
Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

This book is clever, hugely funny, and a great read. It takes the apocolypse to a whole new and hilarious level. The combination of these two great talents makes for a really fun, memorable book. I only keep the books I plan on reading again, and this is definitely a keeper.

This fascinating novel predates all of the more famous futuristic dystopian novels (such as "1984," which it inspired). It tells of a world where individual rights have been given up for the collective good. I was assigned this book in school, and of all the books I was made to read, this one stuck with me. Though written in 1921 and outdated in some ways, this novel still has significance today.

I first read this book in 6th grade and fell in love with it. It's a truly original, fantastical story and is up there with "Alice in Wonderland" in its silly, nonsensical fun. I recently bought it for my godson, and I hope he lends it to me.

This book had me laughing all the way through. You have to love it when the Apocalypse isn't going according to plan. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett make for a perfect team, and their combined wit is razor sharp.

Year of Living Biblically One Mans Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible
by

This book is both amusing and fascinating. I'd never truly thought about what it would be like to follow the Bible to the letter, something that is pretty much impossible in this day and age. This humorous, yet respectful, book explores this.
