The Field Guide to Drinking in America: A Traveler's Handbook to State Liquor Laws
by
Ganong, Niki
Neil Burkhardt
, May 11, 2015
I picked this book up over the weekend, and what an amazing and fun resource. Each state has four pages dedicated to liquor and alcohol laws, along with fun history and factoids weaved in to create a unique narrative. I look forward to thumbing through this book before any future travels.

Blood Meridian
by
Cormac McCarthy
Neil Burkhardt
, October 23, 2014
This book was absolutely amazing and beautifully written. The lack of punctuation takes awhile to get used too, but in a way makes the 1840s setting feel more realistic. This book is not for the faint of heart. I have already returned to Powell's to pick up another Cormac McCarthy title.
