The Fault in Our Stars

I finally got around to reading this book. I finished it in one sitting. Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace both have cancer. Instead of focusing on dying, they focus on love and life. They help each other through tough times, laugh when they can, live each day to the fullest, and figure out together what true love is. This book is inspirational and uplifting, but it has a tragic ending. It is eye-opening showing what it is like first hand to battle cancer. My only regret about this book is that it took me so long to read it.

All the Light We Cannot See

This book left me speechless. I wanted to laugh and cry. I was happy and sad. I love historical books, and this was one of the best I have ever read. This is the story of an orphan German boy that joins the Nazi army, and a blind French girl that is uprooted during the war. Their paths cross for just a brief time, but if left an impact on them and their families. As a parent I would wait until your child can handle a little gore, but I would recommend this book for anyone.

This is the captivating story of Grace. When her mom dies she goes.to live wither grandma that she doesn't know. This book made me laugh and cry. Grace has to learn how to cope.with her mother's death and being in a new place with new people. She meets a.cast of unique friends and solves the mystery of where home really is. The main character is 12 but I recommend this book for any age.

I don't think I have had so much fun reading a book before. Not only did the 100 year old man lead an interesting life, he also had an amazing adventure. The characters are well developed and relatable. I had to keep reading it to see what would happen next. This book is fun, exciting, and touches on some historical events. I would recommend this book, and have added it to my "must read again" list.

This book is one of a few that I have been able to read more than once. It is set in World War II when children from London had to evacuate the city. This is the touching story of William. He taken from his abusive mother and placed with a hermit of a man. William learns to trust, and Mr. Tom learns to love. There is also a great set of supporting characters. This book makes me laugh, cry, and cheer.
