Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
    Michael Barcenas, August 19, 2015
Beautiful book. This book brings you on an emotional journey. It brings tears to your eyes at one point and a smile on your face at another. Personally one of my favorite books I've ever read this year. The way Sue Monk Kidd plays with words is absolutely phenomenal. She sucks you into the life of the characters and leaves you speechless. By the end of the book you are emotionally drained. I would recommend this book to any one of my friends and family.

    Giver by Lois Lowry
    Michael Barcenas, August 19, 2015
Amazing story! Very well plotted and leaves you urging to find out what happens in each chapter. I always recommend this book to middle school children looking for an awesome read. The way this story was built is very creative. This book has to be by far one of Lois Lowry's greatest works. When finishing this book it left me so intrigued I still to this day would like to see a sequel made.

    Road by Cormac McCarthy
    Michael Barcenas, August 04, 2015
Beautiful story of a father and son journey. Experience their struggles and battles they have to face everyday through a post apocalyptic world. What makes this story beautiful is despite living in such a harsh world they seem to never loose sight of each other. Even when you think things couldn't get any worse, they do. But in the end they have each other and that's the only thing that matters to them. Follow their harsh and brutal journey and experience their suffering and heart ache. This book left me looking at life in a completely different way. I feel that it has had the same effect on everybody that has read this book. Very very good book.

Goosebumps 02 Stay Out of the Basement by R L Stine
    Michael Barcenas, August 03, 2015
Why stay out of the basement? What's lurking down in the black creepy basement? What secrets are lying down there? While reading this book I found myself anxious to find out what's lurking down in the basement. What horrors are hiding down there waiting to be discovered? One of my top favorites from the Goosebumps series! I loved reading every bit of this book! If you're into Goosebumps I highly recommend picking this one up.

Goosebumps 33 Horror At Camp Jellyjam by R L Stine
    Michael Barcenas, August 03, 2015
This book leaves you wondering what's next. One of the best Goosebumps books I've read personally! This isn't your ordinary camp and once you stay reading you quickly grasp onto that. Something fishy is going on and you can't stop reading till you find out. Great book and perfectly plotted. This book never fails to leave me hooked and reading chapter after chapter without stopping. Definitely recommend this book it's a great read!

Goosebumps 07 Night of the Living Dummy Classic Goosebumps 01 by R L Stine
    Michael Barcenas, August 03, 2015
Awesome book! R.l Stine never lets you down. Reading this book brought back all the memories of when I was a child reading Goosebumps. I really appreciate the new cover art for the books it makes you want to rip open the book and read every chapter in one sitting. This book is a perfect example of how R.l Stine is and continues to be a total genius. Slappy is one heck of a character and leaves you wondering what tricks he has up his sleeve!
