Of Mice and Men

John Steinbeck

This book, I will have to say, is amazingly well written. By analyzing the text, you can learn so much about each of the characters, I almost forgive it for being so short! I usually prefer a long, in depth novel, with even more fruit to pick goodies from, but John Steinbeck's writing is so great.

This book is dark, funny, and cleaver.I first found out about this book on tumblr, and was instantly intrigued by the plot. Blue is a character that I really relate to. She's independent, witty, funny, and a fiery feminist. The mix of Welsh mythology, humor, and strong characters completely ingulfed me. Every chapter leaves me hanging, and I can't wait to read the next book. The characters are written in a way that makes you fall in love with them. 10/10, if you're looking for a book with a dark, interesting plot, amazing character, and humor, you NEED to read this book.
