My Heart Belongs In Glenwood Springs Colorado has a wild beginning. it starts out with the following words, "It was his voice." That is exactly how it started - now you may ask who was he? Well that is something worth your while to find out. You read that and you go - uh oh - what is wrong? What did he do? What is it all about his voice that she recognized? I know but do you? Who is it? When the book was over I couldn't believe it because I wanted more - so much more. This author knows what she is doing by pulling you into the book - no - that's not it - she actually has the Characters fly off the pages and meet you - they engage with you. It is an incredible storyline and the Characters make it that way. The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond is a spine tingling mysterious romance that takes place in two time periods - cool eh? - I just love when that happens. It is about forgiveness, fear and forgiveness in the sight of terror, and the most important mainstay of this book is Faith - with all that was going on with the character's lives and how they would like to keep it that way. The main characters (Annaliese and Libby) were dealing with the past and the present. - Annaliese lives in one time and Libby lives in the other.) The author did an incredible thing - she was able to bring the town to life - in both time periods - you are able to see them clearly and concisely - she also is able to bring History to life for you as you read on. The book is intense and greatly relying on Faith which increases the value of the story. The town has a nasty old secret and the Characters are also with their own secrets as well. What are they? Do they learn to lean on each other as things get more dangerous with every movement they make? The town has a fight going on between two different opinions on GOD - led by two different traveling preachers. Something started when they got to town - tearing the town apart but that isn't the worst that happens - this is where the thriller/mystery begins - You wouldn't believe it if I told you - the two lady's work on solving the crime living a century apart - now how breathtaking it is. It is dangerous, damaging, deadly - very deadly, calculating and being very careful or you could be the town's next problem. Will she listen to CHRIST or move on her own? You have Murphy Anderson - who is an artist - but tries to convince others that she is a forensic artist.- has a secret - one that could harm those around her - will she ever share? Will she even care that her life is in danger? Is seeking the one hiding as smart as she thinks it is? The reason why she does all this is for a very serious - life changing reason. While she portrays herself as a Forensic Artist she is hired by The police in the town she just moved to - she starts working in a cold case as well as trying to deal with this secret she has that causes severe repercussions on those she know. How To Grow is a great book to that tells you all about how to get a deeper relationship with CHRIST. If you are feeling like you want to get closer, deeper in your relationship or even start one with CHRIST this is the book for you. We have forgotten, in the church, about discipleship. We are so excited about the birth of a relationship with CHRIST but do we follow up with them to help them grow in CHRIST - to be a disciple in CHRIST? Do we yearn and ache to be a disciple in CHRIST? The author states, “God made us to grow. It’s important to understand what growth is, and the pathway He’s designed for growth.” Isn't that the truth. Do you grow daily or are you stagnate? This is definitely one fantastic book to read for all believers - new or old. The Church In Babylon Study Guide is a wonderful book full of incredible information - it gives you such staggering statistics and also it tells you things that just breaks your heart to learn - like it tells you that most Millennials - 30% who where raised in the church turn out to be agnostic or atheistic because of being raised in the church and seeing for themselves how Christians are - gossips - living one way at church and going home and acting another - and so on - I cried with the tears of a broken heart - I could feel the hurt of CHRIST - what HE must think of us when HE sees us acting this way and seeing how our children see us acting this way and leave the church and beliefs because of it. The way the world is today what it needs more than ever is the LORD - and this book talks all about it - something we all need to read about - if you are open to hear what he - the author - has to say. Now, I would be remised if I left out the romance between Luke and Kate - that is the undertow of the whole story. Now they have to overcome the proverbial mountain they must climb to get to that romance - trust and forgiveness. Will they be able to do that while they fight the criminal fight? Will they find true love in each other? Will they follow GOD's will for them? The Edge Of Over There is a fantastic journey. A journey through 0 well 0 that is for you to read for yourself to find out exactly what their whole journey entails - I don't want to ruin it all for you. It is a sequel to "The Day The Angels Fell", but it can be read as a stand alone book. Some of the characters no longer exist but have left things behind for other characters to help them along with their journey. It has Voodoo, cemeteries, a bunch of things along that ling as well as The Tree Of Life - from Genesis in the Bible - How can you miss out on that. GOD is all throughout and you can't beat that can you? The Advent Of the LAMB Of GOD is an advent book or not an advent book - this author takes a lot of liberties with the Scriptures. At the beginning of each day he gives you Scripture then he - instead of using the actual Scripture for the words that come out of their mouths - he makes them up - his own words and puts them into JESUS's mouth and everyone else's. The Bible says that we are not to add or take away from the words of this Book - Bible - and that is what he is doing. - I worry that new or non Christians will take these stories and words as actual words of CHRIST's and others. The Passion Of The King Of Glory is a book of tales. The author made tales of things that happened with JESUS in the Bible....In the front of the book the author warns he will take some things in the Bible and add a word or two to better the story but then I started reading and I was disappointed. He made up everything. The Scripture verses that should have been used for the words that was spoken by CHRIST and others that was actually used by them - he even made those words up like with the Roman - the one whose son was ill and dying - instead of what the Scripture has him saying he has him saying that the nobleman answered JESUS saying "I want my son to live. That's what I want. I want him not to die. But I can't stop the death that is coming - so please help me - come to Capernaum. Please. save him." none of that was said - it could have been what he was thinking but that is not what the Scriptures have him saying - what the Scripture does say is that you are not to add or take away from the words of this Book - Bible - and this definitely is adding to this Book. Awaken is a very unique story - yes you read that right - unique - the story starts off with a thought provoking - heart pounding event. The good thing about it is that this is just the beginning for Sierra. What starts out looking like a curse turns out to be a Blessing in disguise. The author really knows how to weave a good yarn. this story was very well woven together. The book is like a butterfly - it starts out like it is in a cocoon and it gradually becomes a beautiful butterfly - but boy what she has to go through to become one. The Hawaiian Discovery Is the sequel do the Hawaiian Quilt but it can stand alone and I am glad because it is an original story line. The author takes you on a vivid journey through the Hawaiian Islands. This story has its ebbs and flows and it does that from word one to word last. The author's journey takes you to the culture of the islands - everything about them - you will so enjoy it - I know I did. The Story Peddler Is a great fantasy story. It is about a big hearted Tanwen. It is also about determination, gifting, genuiness, jam packed, lasting and hidden Christian messaging. Courage because Tanwen gave a dire story to the king. Demanding because a mentor demands she does certain story peddling. Determination because she wanted to get away from him and be a story teller to the king. Gifting because she was gifted with story telling - so were others. Genuineness because that is what she is - genuine. Jam packed - the story is jam packed with new mystery action stories. Lasting and hidden Christian messaging - that is what it says. Samson Is Mr. Wilson's attempt at retelling the Biblical story of Samson. Samson was born to Fight the philistines - he was given instructions by GOD from birth to do certain things and if he did GOD would honor him and give him Supernatural strength to use against the philistines for his people, but Samson was not perfect - he had an Achilles heel and the philistines tried to find out what it was to use against him. They used that Achilles heel to get the information that they needed to conquer that strength. Something disastrous happened but it was Samson's own fault, if he just would have followed GOD's rules to a'T' but GOD gives a miracle a major miracle through Samson in the end. They were founded in 1881. Then at the bottom of the page it gives you a specific Scripture verse for that specific day. then later in the paragraphs there are more Scripture to back it up and may I tell you my friends that you please do not believe everything you read. it is only after what you have been able to back up what someone-like a preacher /writer anyone else so you need to make sure that you all get all you have been told to you is Biblically backed up. Shadows Of Hope Is heart wrenching and it gets you to feel some very strong feelings as you read this. I mean how stupid he is and how awful for her and what an impossible situation. What breaks my heart the most is that this really happens and that this mess and broken hearts and dreams are torn asunder. A Most Noble Heir is a story of true but tumultuous love, life changing for the characters, heir apparent, struggle with where you belong in society and who you belong with. This is soooo good, you find yourself so deeply involved in the lives of the characters that you don't realize that there is a life going on still around you. The author really knows how to grab your attention and not only do that but to keep the whole book through til the last page. Nolan is tortured because of the woman he loves is all of a sudden from the wrong side of the tracks per se. Can you imagine finding out on your mothers death bed a deep dark secret you have been looking for? Now that answer has turned your life up side down and sideways. The two main characters try to rely on their faith - and we all know if you have a downcast soul you put your trust in GOD . Who else can fix any situation you are in or at least be by your side and help you make it through. A Most Noble Heir is a story of true but tumultuous love, life changing for the characters, heir apparent, struggle with where you belong in society and who you belong with. This is soooo good, you find yourself so deeply involved in the lives of the characters that you don't realize that there is a life going on still around you. The author really knows how to grab your attention and not only do that but to keep the whole book through til the last page. Nolan is tortured because of the woman he loves is all of a sudden from the wrong side of the tracks per se. Can you imagine finding out on your mothers death bed a deep dark secret you have been looking for? Now that answer has turned your life up side down and sideways. The two main characters try to rely on their faith - and we all know if you have a downcast soul you put your trust in GOD . Who else can fix any situation you are in or at least be by your side and help you make it through. A Chance At Forever is a book of forgiveness, tolerance of others not like yourself, condemnation and GOD's love and peace. Forgiveness (of one's self - their past or of another - how they may have treated you or how they have treated someone else - that is what we have here), tolerance of others not like yourself (there are those who are disfigured or in other ways someone could not treat you just like everyone else - who you are - where you are from - what you do for a living and so on - that is alllll happening here), condemnation (imagine being the person who condemns others - being intolerant for example - then all of a sudden you are changed by the mercy of GOD and now you condemn yourself - or you have someone who knows you from your old self and condemns you still. that is what is happening here.), GOD's love and peace (HE shows up in the middle of all this mess and show how forgiveness and tolerance and acceptance can get peace and love from those who condemned you - if you where the condemner GOD's love and peace enters you life and when you forgive and tolerate their past you are given the peace and love.) and then there is love.................. Harp On The Willow is one of my favor authors that I have been reading for a very long time. The author tends to leave a piece of themselves on the pages they write. This book is one of deep love 0 love for their work, love for others, love for that very special one and love for the LORD 0 Amen? how could you beat all that love you have Daniel who is a Doctor on the right side of town per se and the miners and Addie Rose on the wrong side per se . Will Daniel choose the right or wrong woman for him? Is the right girl from the wrong side? This is a special book - so enjoyable, tender yet exciting. Phoebe's Light is such a character infused, character building story. You are so twisted up into the story you are so unaware of what is goin on around you - time sips by - I almost burned my pan of chicken. You can get so enthralled with the lives of the characters, who is really who they really are - who has secrets, who is a good person, who needs to be safe on the sea. What is going on? This thing is so full of information of the times and of whaling I was amazed at what I found out, and about Nantucket. This author is amazing, she knows what she is writing about - she is very thorough. A Home For Hannah is such a good family story, a mother and son, a father and three small children. Then there is A Mother and Father and their daughter who left for the Englisch world who has come back and wants to be accepted. Then there is true love. You have first love who was and then wasn't and then they both got married to others and both lost them and now have found each other again - isn't that awesome? Is that love going to rekindle? especially with children involved and with Hannah being in the Englisch world? Will Hannah's family accept her and her son, being that she went to that world? This is such a book of love and a great book of the beginning in the Pontotoc Series and I cannot wait until the second one comes out and I pray for the privilege to be able to read that one as well. A Passionate Hope is such a touching, heart warming story. I mourned with her, I cried with her, I prayed with her, I got disappointed with her. I got aggravated and confused with her. I didn't give up with her, I hung on with her. I questioned with her, and then I rejoiced with her. My tears stung my pillows for her. I was shocked with her. I was angry at her husband for her. I was angry with her husband's second wife for her and I asked GOD why with her. I just couldn't understand and then I realized through her - hey I am not GOD and HE has HIS reasons and like her I just have to keep praying and HE WILL answer when it is right. I absolutely love Jill Eilleen Smith as an Author - she is truly gifted as an author - and GOD does use her to tell Biblical stories and I am honored to read her books - -and I pray I get to read her next one - I truly do.......I hope you do too......
