Later At The Bar In Stories

If I put out a summer list, well I should say if anyone was interested in my summer reading list other than myself, 'Later, at the Bar' would be at the top! I read this book over a period of one day and considered it a good day. It was entertaining, thought provoking and interesting, which is all it takes to make me like a book. The characters are believable, they made me think and hope that my neighbors and neighborhood bar should be so interesting. I look forward to all Rebecca Barry's future endeavors.

On Chesil Beach

I read this book, I didn't buy it, I got it out of the library and was almost immediately glad I didn't spent money on it. I thought it was extremely boring and more than a little unrealistic. It could happen I guess but I sure don't wish to read about it. The number of summer reading lists that had 'On Chesil Beach' on it was amazing, I am now rethinking several of the books I planned on reading off those lists, a few of which I did buy.
