It's better than Snow Flower and The Secret Fan....easy way to learn about history. I think students would enjoy it too.

Reading this book is a painless way to learn about how to research investments. It's about a group of midwestern women who form an investment club. Very interesting characters.

Both Bread Alone and The Baker's Apprentice are are excellent beach reading.. .but don't read them on an empty stomach. Hendricks has spiced her sequel with more of her well-developed likeable characters, vivid descriptions, romance, and a great recipe for Cappucino Hazelnut Scones.
