Synopses & Reviews
The author, whose work is rooted in her human experience and mystical contemplation, meditates on Mary, the reed through whom the music of God became flesh in Jesus Christ. She inspires us to become instruments as well.
Houselander's portrait of Mary rings with echoes of the biblical text
.She lays out for our contemplation not a woman of privilege, but a woman of grace so committed to Christ and his plan for redemption that her every thought and action is oriented to her son.
From the Foreword
Caryll Houselander profoundly influenced my spirituality. Her practical, earthy approach refreshes my sense of the Holy and encourages me to seek the divine presence in what is most ordinary.
