Synopses & Reviews
Time is the essential element distinguishing first aid from extended care. When the doctor is far away--an hour or more according to the Wilderness Medical Society--the principles of first aid are often unequal to the task of managing the injured and the ill. This book provides principles for dealing with many serious emergencies and a few common problems. It is intended to be a reminder about what to do for those who have training and a stimulus to learn for those who are untrained.
