Synopsis
Girls go missing in the night - taken by the beast of the Forbidden Forest.
A beast that is now coming for Larkin.
Larkin should have been watching her little sister, should have paid more attention to the trees looming over her family's fields. Now Sela is gone, taken by the forest and its beast. Knowing full well the danger, Larkin goes after her anyway. With her sister clutched in her arms, she manages to escape, but not before learning the truth lurking beneath the wicked boughs: the beast is not a beast at all, but men. Those men use the magic of their enchanted pipes to lure girls into the forest to become their brides.
The piper who has chosen Larkin will not be denied. He has fixed the full force of his enchantment on her, and he won't rest until she's his.
Larkin refuses to disappear in the night like all the other girls of her village. The forest has woken something inside her. Magic. Using forbidden magic will get her hanged. Not using it will leave her at the mercy of the piper's hypnotizing enchantment.
Will Larkin fall in love with her beast or escape him?
