Synopsis
Excerpt from The Authorship of Shakspere and an Examination of the Claim Made That, Francis Bacon Wrote the Shakspere Works
Now. Nearly three hundred years after Shakspere's death. We are told he was not the author of the plays and poems that have, since his own day. Been regarded as his, that Francis Bacon wrote them.
I propose to recall some important facts in Shakspere's life. To give some account of the production of these works and to show that there is no reason to doubt his authorship. Or to suppose that Bacon had any part in composing them.
