Synopsis
Excerpt from Bulletin of the Public Affairs Information Service: A Cooperative Clearing House of Public Affairs Information, Fourth Annual Cumulation
A cursory glance at the subjects covered in the 1918 volume will Show the trend of thought and discussion during the past year. Present problems and after the war problem have been treated by specialists in the different fields.
So many new subjects have arisen, that it has been difficult to place entries permanently and satisfactorily. It is hoped that the cross references will make every entry easily available to the user.
It may be helpful to explain why the sub-headings, Laws and Legislation have both been used. The former has been used when the actual text of the law is given, the latter, when the article contains merely a discussion of the law or laws.
Attention is invited to the list of typewritten material, including both bibliographies and digests, to be found in the last pages of the Annual. Copies of any material desired may be obtained on application to the Service.
