About the Author
Douglas Evans is the author of MVP*, Apple Island, and the previous collections of classroom tales: Math Rashes and The Classroom at the End of the Hall. He has a master's degree in education and has taught for fifteen years in settings ranging from a small logging town in Oregon to international schools in Helsinki and London. He currently lives in Berkeley, California. John Shelly was born in Birmingham, England, and moved to Tokyo as an adult. He has illustrated a number of English and Japanese titles.
