As someone with a general background in biology (but not specifically botany or forestry), I really enjoyed this book as a sort of introduction to PNW forestry. Each chapter was filled with interesting facts but short enough to be read on my lunch break at work. Quick read, lovely illustrations, and loved the discussion of both each tree's ecological role as well as its uses throughout human history.
