For each "recipe", the authors, in well-organized fashion, list necessary materials and then take the reader-crafter through clearly numbered, carefully explained directions to create a successful final product. For each project, too, a pattern schematic is matched on the opposite page with a full-color photograph of the finished project. This is a fundamental crafts book appropriate for most craft collections.

About the Author
Patricia Hoskins is the co-owner of Crafty Planet, a retail fabric and needlework store and craft workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has designed several of the patterns used in Crafty Planet classes. She enjoys knitting, crocheting, spinning, sewing, quilting, embroidery, and cross-stitching and is a graduate of American University, the University of Oregon, and the University of Missouri-Columbia Library Science program. She is a co-author of both One-Yard Wonders and Fabric-by-Fabric One-Yard Wonders.
Rebecca Yaker began sewing at age five. After eight years of designing apparel for two of America’s largest retailers, she started her own design business, creating one-of-a-kind baby bedding and apparel in her Minneapolis design studio. She is a hand- and machine-knitter, and she crochets, weaves, does fabric printing, and consults on design. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Moscow State Linguistics University, doing work in Russian Languages and Literature. Yaker is co-author of both One-Yard Wonders and Fabric-by-Fabric One-Yard Wonders.
