About the Author
Besotted by food, fashion, and adventure, writer
Aurelia dAndrea chased her dream of living abroad from sunny San Francisco to the worlds culture capital of Paris. After nearly five years in her adopted hometown, shes added several new job titles to her résumé: Urban Tour Guide, Baguette Connoisseur, and French Paperwork Survival Specialist.
Before moving to France, Aurelia juggled graduate school with a career in publishing. As the former editorial director of a vegetarian lifestyle magazine, one of her greatest thrills has been witnessing the local culinary landscape evolve to embrace everything from kale to vegan burger bars. (Shes hopeful that Parisians will one day abandon their fur coats and foie gras, too.)
While a typical day usually includes a bike trip across town to her favorite outdoor market, a neighborhood promenade with her dog Fanny, and at least one glass of wine, theres always a deadline to consider. Her recent articles have appeared in Vegetarian Times, FranceMagazine.com, and Girls Guide to Paris. Aurelia is also the author of Moon Living Abroad in France, Moon MapGuide Paris, and Vegetarian Paris. Visit her blog at myveganparisianadventure.blogspot.com to follow her global wanderings and Parisian musings.
