Synopses & Reviews
Synopsis
Baby and Puppy are inseparable. From the moment they wake up in the morning to when they go to bed at night, the two do everything together--from sharing breakfast to making a mess of the garden. Even nap time cannot keep the two apart for long, as Puppy finds a way to stay near Baby. Julie Sternberg's sweet, spare text is fun to read aloud and complements Fred Koehler's humorous and heartwarming illustrations, creating the perfect picture book for the youngest children.
Synopsis
"Baby and Puppy are a fetching duo: ...Sternberg's text is simple and repetitive, perfect for a young audience...(and) will elicit plenty of giggles. (The) illustrations have a soft, gentle feel...(and) there are enough lively scenes to entice rambunctious toddlers. The book portrays a loving multiethnic family...a fine addition for storytime or one-on-one sharing." - School Library Journal "Puppy and Baby are double the trouble and double the love in this baby-and-dog picture book. Understated text achieves humor through counterpoint with comical illustrations that reveal the messes and mischief inherent in these activities. A book to enjoy with dog-loving little ones..."
