Synopsis
Neil Harris has been tired of his job for a while. Sure, the pay and benefits are alright, but it's high-stress and long hours, meaning his work-life balance is in shambles. At the age of thirty-three, he wonders if the life he wants is now completely out of reach. He knows that his current situation is unsustainable, but he has no idea how to fix it, and he feels that it's only getting worse. Still, he tries to keep up a morbid sense of humor. As the fifth Hero to bear the name STRIKER, Neil is tasked with protecting the fair City of Orlando from monsters, mayhem, and general villainy, all the while sticking to FEMA's stringent regulations and guidelines on being a Superhero. His world is thrown into chaos one morning when a new, unanticipated villain emerges: his best friend, Erica Ramirez. Confused and angry, Neil must find out why she attacked him and threw away her entire career. For every question he asks, two more pop up. Soon, he finds himself down a path that he never thought possible, one that could shape the future far outside of suburban Florida. Can STRIKER shake his own self-doubt to save the world?

Every day, Neil struggles to deal with a demanding workload, maintaining his relationship, and finding time to simply relax. Something is going to give soon, and he feels like it might just be him.
