Presenting a years’ worth of stories by women, from everyday to scary to hauntingly beautiful, Strongly Worded Women is an anthology with something for everyone. Each story is illustrated intriguingly on the cover, the lion matching a fantasy tale... the violin... the airplane—matching story and picture becomes part of the fun of reading. In these tales, the "old ways" might fail or win, the zombies might be an apocalypse, and the tattooed woman might sing.
Authors are listed in the back of the book, their images and stories providing further inspiration for women writers; while the tales themselves provide cool insight, entertainment and food for thought—women writers can’t be predicted; we produce stories as varied in style and content as any other group of writers; and this collection is well worth reading!
Disclosure: I know one of the authors, and I really enjoyed the collection.
