Le roi de France a beau appeler la Bretagne un duche pairie, notre duc a fait ses conditions; nous ne reconnaissons que lui pour maitre et seigneur: il fournit son contingent quand la France est en guerre, mais il marche comme allie et non comme vassal du roi.
