Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

Amazing Grace is about a 16 year old tennis champion named Grace Kincaid. She was one of the top tennis players in the world, until one grueling day at practice, where she quits. In an effort to stay out of the public eye, Grace moves to Medicine Hat, Alaska with her "Aunt Ava", a town with a population of 813 people. She goes undercover as Emily O' Brien, so she can live a normal life, and see how other people live, and so she doesn't get found by the paparazzi. Soon she meets Teague, and his family, and she finds herself beginning to love this little town. She finds herself torn between Medicine Hat and home. I thought that this book was really good, and I would definitely read more books by this author. The way she words her writing would make anyone fall in love with it. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
