The Complete Family Health book are leaders in the fields of psychiatry, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecolgy.
Sharyn Lenhart, M.D., president of AMWA from 1997 to 1998, is a psychiatrist in private practice in Boston, where she is a clinical instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and an associate clinical professor in psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She received her M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her psychiatric residency at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lenhart lives in Concord, Massachusetts, with her husband and two daughters.
Donna Shelley, M.D., recently joined Women's Health Management Solutions as a consultant to health-care organizations. Her expertise lies in designing women's health programs for hospitals. From 1991 to 1994 she was senior medical editor at Lifetime Medical Television, where she was responsible for the content and production of more than 100 educational programs each year. A founding member of the Mount Sinai Women's Health Program, Dr. Shelley received her M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She lives in New York City with her husband and three children.
Roselyn Payne Epps, M.D., M.P.H., M.A., a past president of AMWA, is a pediatrician and a professor emeritus of pediatrics and child health at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, where she also earned her M.D. She has been a medical officer at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and has been a consultant to several departments of the federal government, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the AMA, the United Nations, and the World Bank. The author of several books for general and professional audiences, she has won more than 60 awards and honors. Dr. Epps and her husband, Dr. Charles Epps, have four children and two grandsons.
Roselyn E. Epps, M.D., is the daughter of Roselyn P. Epps and is also a pediatrician.
