Staff Pick
A modern twist on a great superhero. This comic, complete with texting and selfies, is perfect for young women who want to start getting into superhero comics. Come for the story, stay for the AMAZING artwork! Recommended By Hannah B., Powells.com
This comic is perfect because older fans of Batgirl will recognize enough of her past story to feel satisfied, but new readers won't be lost. The art is distinct from many of The New 52 collections, and the color palette choices are so clever and beautiful I could cry little bat-shaped tears. Plus, Batgirl fights interesting and cool villains! Unique baddies have always been one of my favorite things about the Batman franchise, and I'm happy to see this new series continuing the tradition. Recommended By Junix S., Powells.com
