About the Author
Kristofor “Kip” Barnes got into beer on a camping trip at Sequoia National Forest in 2008. A friend of his brewed up a Scotch Ale called General Grant and his brain exploded with silky, smoky caramel flavor overload. He set out to not only try every beer he could, but also brew his own. He eventually started a home brew blog, Bierkast.com and co-founded Los Angeles Ale Works where the team currently brews gypsy-style out of a local LA brewery called Ohana. Over the years Kip has become incredibly involved with LA beer media and founded the LA Beer Bloggers with a cast of fellow bloggers and writers. His latest project, Ziggy The Beer Yeast, is a mobile beer game currently available for Android and iPhone platforms. He lives in Los Angeles my his wife Katie and guinea pig, Ziggy.
