A scientist never assumes an outcome without testing her theories.
It is 1893 and the Columbian Exposition is in Chicago bringing people from all over the United States and the world. Montana is featured in two different buildings. The display of all the incredible different wild flowers has been lovingly put together by the ladies and an extensive display of the various mining methods is found in another building, presented by the men. A bit of competition is happening between the two groups.
Bettina Gilbert is a botanist, hoping that her presentation about farming techniques will put her at the top of the list for an internship at Oberlin College. Her adoptive family wants her to get married and settle down - who will win this battle of wills? Can she possibly do both things?
This fifth book in the Queen of the Rockies series was received through Gem Books and CelebrateLit. My impressions and comments were in no way solicited.
