About the Author
Bruce may have been Born to Run, but Debra L. Rothenberg was born to shoot. Debra is an award winning photographer residing in New York City. She grew up in Bergen County, NJ and earned a bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photographic Illustration/Photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology. At the age of 16 she fell in love with the music of Bruce Springsteen and dreamed one day of becoming a professional photographer shooting concerts, and Bruce Springsteen. After graduating college, she worked at several daily newspapers before landing her dream job for a newspaper at the Jersey shore, where her life and career began.Among her many accomplishments including First Place awards from the National Press Photographers Association, and her listing in Who-s Who, Debra is proudest of the image used on several Bruce Springsteen official tour T-shirts for his 1999-2000 World Tour, and on the cover of one of the CD-s for TRACKS, Bruce Springsteen-s four CD box set.Debra is an accomplished, professional with a broad photographic range. She has been the concert photographer for the New York Daily News since 1999. Her extensive clientele includes ABC-TV, People, Rolling Stone Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Columbia/CBS Records, EMI Music Publishing, Prudential, New York University, and many others.Other published work includes People, US Weekly, OK, Time, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, Spin Magazine, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Life and Style, New York Magazine, and In Touch.Debra is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and her photography has been distributed and exhibited worldwide.
