About the Author
Amy F. Szczepanski, Ph.D., is a faculty member at the University of Tennessee. She has taught math at Ivy League institutions, small colleges, and large state universities. She was nominated for the University of Tennessees Alumni Teaching Award. Andrew P. Kositsky is a fourth-year student and research assistant at the California Institute of Technology. He has been awarded the Mathematics Memorial Scholarship from Western Washington University, a NASA Space Grant from the University of Washington, and three research fellowships from the California Institute of Technology.
