There's not much fiction set in Greenland, so that's something that sets this novel apart right away. The story develops as a team of Icelandic engineers explore a potential mine location on the remote eastern shore of Greenland. Two interesting aspects of this whodunnit are: 1) the divergent understandings of the world by different cultures, and 2) things which come to light as Greenland's ice melts and the glaciers retreat.
