About the Author
William G. Tapply (1940–2009) was the author of thirty mystery and suspense novels; a dozen books about hunting and fishing, including Trout Eyes; and hundreds of articles, stories, and essays about bird hunting, fly fishing, writing, and other subjects for numerous publications. He was a columnist for American Angler, a contributing editor for Field & Stream, and Upland Almanac and a regular contributor to Gray’s Sporting Journal and Shooting Sportsman.Nick Lyons is the editor of Hemingway on Fishing, The Best Fishing Stories Ever Told, The Quotable Fisherman, and The Little Red Book of Dad's Wisdom. He has written over twenty books, mainly on fishing, in addition to hundreds of articles on the subject, which have appeared in such magazines as Harper’s, Outside, Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, and Fly Fisherman. He splits his time between New York City and Woodstock, New York.
