It tells of the beautiful but difficult rolling, ridge-top land and people who struggled with it for sustenance of their bodies and spirits over the past 150 years.
Readers will see their own contemporary moral choices reflected in stunningly beautiful Lydia Cotton, a young mother of four, convicted of murder. Personal hopes and betrayals will frame their empathy for exuberant John Wehrheim, galloping fast over the hills of High Meadow, unaware of the plot to smash his dreams to shards.
