Synopses & Reviews
If you were born a kitten, you'd slip into the world in a silvery sack, and your mother would lick, lick, lick you free.
A lyrical -- and scientifically accurate -- text and breathtaking pastel illustrations depict eleven scenes of mothers (or fathers) and babies. From a newborn elephant to a tiny baby opossum, from cuddly kittens to slithery snakes, graceful whales to spiny porcupines, every spectacular spread is a tribute to the wonder of birth.
Every toddler loves pictures of baby animals, and the intense colors and delicate details of the art will enthrall lap readers. They will be especially delighted by the final spread, which celebrates the most special baby of all: you.
Synopsis
