Synopsis
Cornell University scientists shocked the nation by reporting that new gene-altered corn can kill Monarch butterflies. Today a majority of foods in American supermarkets and restaurants include genetically engineered ingredients. But since no labeling is required by the U.S. Government and no long term safety tests have been done, consumers have no way of knowing what they are eating or the possible risks to their families. Imagine a World Without Monarch Butterflies describes which foods are modified; their effects on body, mind, and spirit; their impact on other species and the environment; and what can be done to protect the nation's food supply.
