This book has been great for my very curious 8 year old. She devoured "It's So Amazing!" and was ready for more details, "Its Perfectly Normal" re-explains these topics (and more) and adds more detail for the older audience. The drawings are slightly more sophisticated while still not being too much for the younger age range. "Its Perfectly Normal" also helped me start / continue some conversations with her about bodies, sexuality, etc. She hasn't lived with us her whole life and had been exposed to some negative or incorrect thoughts about bodies and sexuality. This book addresses topics like homosexuality neutrally and as everyday topics that I can then continue with her on a more specific and personal level. It talks about bodies and development without shamefulness but as something that really is just perfectly normal. We love this series!
