About the Author
Marybeth Kravets, M.A., is the chief educational officer for Chicago Scholars, a nonprofit serving underserved students in Chicago, Illinois. She is a past president of both the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), and has over thirty years’ experience as a high school college counselor. In addition to her work on the
K&W Guide, Kravets has authored numerous publications.
Imy F. Wax, M.S., LCPC, CEP is a psychotherapist and educational consultant. She has authored numerous articles about raising children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD, and frequently speaks on the topic at conferences in the United States and abroad. Among other media appearances, Wax has been a guest on NBC’s Today show. She and her husband have four children, two with learning disabilities and one who also has ADHD. Her daughter was the inspiration for this book.
