Description
NOTES FROM THE RARE BOOK ROOM SPECIALIST:
Printed in Paris in 1638, these volumes are concerned with perspective in art – specifically
anamorphic art, which depends on the position of the viewer to show a recognizable
graphic representation.
Condition:
Moderate wear to covers, bubbling to paper, paper loss to extremities. Large light water stain to lower gutter corner throughout both volumes, much fainter in text volume, affecting over 1/3 of each page. Pencil inscriptions to plates 2 and 4. Repaired 1 inch triangular hole to upper left corner of plate 15.
