You can't help but be drawn in by the jubilant yellow and movement-filled sketchbook illustrations of this delightful debut. But, as the title suggests, it is Lala's words that will capture your heart. Kind words become magical incantation in this story from Lala's first whispered "hello, hello friends" to her mother's final "you are so very special." So very special indeed.
