L'urtrostomie prinale est l'opration pratique pour lever les obstructions urtrales et empcher leurs rcidives lors d'urolithiase chez le chat. La premire partie de ce travail aborde les causes d'obstructions urtrales et leurs mcanismes physiopathologiques. Elle dcrit ensuite la technique d'urtrostomie prinale de Wilson et les complications ventuelles qui l'accompagnent. La seconde partie est une tude rtrospective qui rapporte les complications survenues aprs cette opration chez 68 chats oprs entre 2000 et 2005 l'Ecole Nationale Vtrinaire de Maisons-Alfort. 53 % ont souffert de complications, 16 % sont morts ou euthanasis cause de troubles urinaires et 15 % ont t obstrus de nouveau. Au moment de l'tude, 78 % des animaux oprs sont exempts de troubles urinaires.
