Synopsis
A cast of eccentric and endearing characters find themselves in increasingly comic situations as they move about the lively Paris neighborhood of Montmartre (made famous by the films Amelie and Moulin Rouge, not to mention by its famous inhabitants, including Pablo Picasso, Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh, Dalida, and Salvador Dali).
Sandrine Cordier works in an employment office, but her daily routine is in no way as dull as one would think. Sandrine is a volcanic woman, full of ideas and energy, and a world-class cook who is waiting for just the right occasion to realize her dream of opening her own restaurant.
An opportunity arises when Antoine Lacuenta, an unemployed professor looking for new life goals, meets Sandrine. With a master plan that one could only call Machiavellian, Sandrine includes Antoine in her venture, and into their lives pours a series of extravagant characters: the gigantic Senegalese man named Toussaint N'Diaye, the magical chef Vairam, the flatulist Alsatian Schmutz and his twelve-year-old daughter Juliette, who has an IQ of 172 and is an expert hacker, and the alluring psychologist, Annabelle Villemin-Dubreuil, an expert in the Kama Sutra, all of whom involve themselves in this new enterprise.
Things seem to proceed smoothly until, in the warehouse adjoining her restaurant, Sandrine accidentally discovers a shady newspaper operation that will lead her to flush out the magnate behind Parisian news, Marcel Lacarri re and his many scandals.
