Jenny Fran Davis:
My Novel’s Clique: Jenny Fran Davis’s Bookshelf for 'Dykette'
I read a wide range of literature, from “chick lit” to heady nonfiction, and when I love a book, I begin to think of it as a friend. It also inspires me in one way or another: its tone, its sensibility, its cadence, its structure, or its voice....

Once upon a time in the city of Richmond, California, this book "Mandala" found it way to me. During the best of times while studying Karate at Rohai Karate Dojo in Berkeley, California and working with Americorp and East Bay Conservation Program, I learned what California and the Californians have done for me. I have been inspired to continue my martial arts training and learn the meaning of the Tao. I have found in the book "Mandala" keys to understanding whether the buddas are dancing or practicing martial arts to improve their bodies and their concentration. I have been blessed to learn that both are the lessons. I now hope that my artistic ability improves so that I can produce a better thank you for Historical reference to the material of "Mandala".
