Excerpt from Massachusetts Committee on Public Safety: Report of Executive Committee, November 1, 1917
Market-garden Teamsters. - About 300 men engaged in handling produce from markets. Strike settled and the diver sion of produce to other markets prevented. If strike had not been settled produce coming from south and Texas would probably have gone to New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore for market.
