I have gained much insight into the various peoples filling Professor Tolkien's stage, and the things that motivate them through reading this book. Paul Kocher has approached this work with great foresight and no small degree of tenderness for these characters, and it shows in every line and every chapter. Read this, and then maybe we can discuss it at the coffee shop another day. = )
