Synopses & Reviews
Between the proposal and the triumphant introduction of the new husband and wife, the path to wedded bliss is sometimes more like an obstacle course of expectations, traditions, hopes, and fears. For every bride who has considered, however briefly, forgoing her fantasy wedding for a quick trip to city hall, for every groom who has wondered what's possessed the woman he loves, the stories and poems in this collection offer alternately comic, touching, quizzical, and romantic guideposts along the long and winding road up the aisle.
For the bride- or groom-to-be, for newlyweds, for lovers at any stage of life and for lovers of good literature, these poems and stories provide a moving, funny, joyous look at how and why we marry, traveling toward a more perfect union.
