Synopsis
M.C. Davis was a self-made man who for the first half of his life thrived and prospered in the free market system. An unlikely transformation occurred that drastically changed the trajectory of his life from entrepreneur to conservationist. Without fully divesting himself of his entrepreneurial roots, M.C. dedicated his finances to purchasing and protecting vast amounts of land in the southeastern United States. This book recounts some of those significant accomplishments through photographs and text all completed by the author during our time together.
Mr. Davis is no longer with us, but his vision continues through his dedicated family and close associates of so many years. The goal of this book is to highlight a new conservation ethic that leverages power of government, the insight of science, and the resources of business to effect long-lasting and significant conservation initiatives.
